Get Ready to Empower Change! GivingTuesday and the Relaunch of CELI

As we approach this year’s GivingTuesday on December 3rd, we’re gearing up for something special at FIERCE Advocates—and we’re thrilled to share it with you! We’re excited to announce the relaunch of the Community Education Leadership Institute (CELI), an impactful program that uplifts community voices and strengthens local leadership. With a powerful mission to build advocates who champion education, health, and wellness for our youth and families, CELI is back, and it’s here to make a difference!

What is CELI?

CELI was created to bring together parents, caregivers, and youth leaders who are ready to step into advocacy roles that influence policy and decision-making. It’s a unique space where community members—each with their own insights and experiences—can strengthen their voices, sharpen their skills, and make real change at the local and regional levels. Our fellows are leaders who not only want to make an impact but want to make a difference that resonates deeply within their communities.

Through a series of intensive, hands-on sessions, CELI fellows develop critical skills in public speaking, data analysis, budget reading, and policy-making. But it’s more than just skills; it’s about empowerment, community building, and building a foundation for sustainable, impactful advocacy. With a network of peers and mentors, fellows receive continuous support, practical training, and strategies to help them care for their own well-being while leading with confidence.

CELI fills an essential need in our community by empowering advocates to drive decisions that matter. When parents and caregivers sit at decision-making tables, they bring invaluable insights into the needs of their communities. And when they are equipped with the tools and confidence to be heard, they become changemakers. From influencing educational opportunities to addressing health and wellness disparities, CELI leaders are a powerful force for positive, transformative change.
