Joanna, a CoCo Doula training graduate, was a doula before she knew what one was because caring for new mothers and babies has always been a huge part of her life. Joanna became drawn to birth work after giving birth to her children and experiencing an increased awareness about maternal health issues Black mothers face. Joanna is a world traveler, herbalist, mediator, and small-batch bath and body product maker and is passionate about the outdoors and plant medicine.
