Sheryl, a Richmond, California native works with a team to realize FIERCE Advocates’ mission to invest in individual and collective transformation to promote thriving families and community change.

Sheryl is a leader who brings demonstrated experience in both social sector management and social and community change. Sheryl was formerly the Director of Policy and Partnerships at SaverLife (formerly EARN), a national nonprofit focused on financial security for low-income households. She previously directed the Richmond Equitable Development Initiative (REDI) at Urban Habitat and served as a Community Relations and Policy Analyst for the Mayor of San Jose.

Sheryl holds a Master of Science in Urban Policy and Management from the Milano Graduate School of Management at the New School in New York City. She holds two BA degrees — one in Sociology and another in Psychology & Social Behavior, both from UC Irvine.

And most importantly, Sheryl is the proud mother of her remarkable son.
